PROGRAM LENGTH: Two years (typically 4 regular semesters of full-time attendance) beginning in August or January
WHEN TO APPLY: By second Friday in February for August start (see Step 3) with late applications typically accepted in May; By second Friday in September for January start with late applications typically accepted in December
ADMISSIONS: Selective; students must provide documentation (see Step 3)
CLASS SCHEDULE: Classes meet weekly in-person Monday-Thursday (daytime). This includes practicum in local classrooms with English Language Learners (ELL) during regular school hours for all 4 semesters, culminating in student teaching in K-8 setting in spring of senior year
DEGREE OFFERED: Bachelor of Arts in Education, Elementary Education
CERTIFICATION: After passing the AEPA Professional Knowledge exam for Elementary Education, program graduates will earn certification to teach kindergarten through grade 8 in the state of Arizona. To earn bilingual endorsement, program graduates must pass the Arizona Classroom Teacher Spanish Proficiency Exam.
